We have been regularly bringing you all the developments on Surya's upcoming film 'Vadivasal' directed by Vetrimaran for which the preproduction works are in full swing and the shooting of the film is expected to start in a few months time.

The Anbana fans have been hungry for more updates on 'Vaadivasal' and not they have come straight from Vetrimaaran himself in his latest interview. He has shed light that though the core story is about Jallikattu and the bonding between a hero and his bull there is more to it. He has revealed that a part of the story is set during the anti Hindi agitation in Tamil Nadu in 1965 and it will figure prominently in screenplay. The ace auteur has further added that though it is based on the novel by C.S. Chellappa the screenplay will contain more elements to suit the visual medium.

'Vaadivasal' is produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu with G.V. Prakash Kumar scoring the music and Velraj handling the camera. As of now Ameer has been cast in an important role and details about the rest of the casting is awaited.
