Veteran actor-director S.J. Suryah has been receiving nonstop praises for his stunning performance as the antagonist Dhanushkodi in Simbu's 'Maanaadu' that released on November 25th. His dialogues such as "Vanthaan Sutaan Sethaan Repeattuu" and "Thalaivarey Thalaivarey" in the Venkat Prabhu directed time loop film has turned into hot memes to depict the Chennai rains and other political occurrences.

Meanwhile it is said that Suryah is gearing up to appeal the supreme court against the Hindi remake of his blockbuster hit movie 'Vaali' released in the year 1999. Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor who has a three film deal with Thala Ajith has already made 'Nerkonda Paarvai' and the upcoming 'Valimai' with him. He is also planning to shoot 'Thala 61' in 2022 and is said to have planned the 'Vaali' Hindi remake later with Ajith in the lead once again.

S.J. Suryah filed a case against the remake in the Madras High Court citing that while the dubbing rights of a film are with the producer the writer and director of the story has a claim when it is remade in other languages. The court ordered agains the filmmaker and ruled in the favor of the producers.

It is said that S.J. Suryah has decided to appeal in the supreme cour against the Hindi remake of 'Vaali' by 'Valimai' producer Boney Kapoor. The 1999 film had Ajith's career best performance as a normal guy and his obsessive deaf mute twin who pines for the former's wife played by Simran and goes to extremes to get her.
