Varanam Aayiram Crew in Afghanistan

For the first time, a Tamil movie would be shot in the war-torn Afghanistan. Recently the blockbuster Hindi film Kabul Express starring John Abraham was shot throughout in Afghanistan.

Now Gowtham will be off to the country to shoot for his next directorial venture Varanam Aayiram. Starring Suriya in the lead role and prominent Kannada actress Ramya does the female lead.

Suriya has undergone rigorous exercises to look trim for the role. The movie would be a typical Gowtham Menon's film - racy and thriller. It is about a bonding shared between father and a son.
