Tamil Film lovers have never let down a good film.

With this strong belief S.M.Raju a new director forays into tinsel world with the film 'Varnam'.

This belief also speaks about the conviction that he has on his own creativity.

At least once every one among the grown ups when thinking back on their past life might have thought like the same way as the life story of the hero of the film tells.

Colourful childhood aspirations, dreams and convictions can lose its strength once it gets exposed to the hard realties of everyday life and that's what life is.

The protagonist who arrives in his uncle's house situated in a serene and green village on top of a hill to escape from the anguish of loosing his father in a riot finds a life there that showers him with love and making it pleasant again.

The innumerable lovely moments of the life that he enjoys in the village are always very emotional and close to his heart.

The story of the movie travels from there to the climax scene.

The ending is based on a shocking incident that happened in Tamil Nadu which as the director claims will be a surprise for the audience.

The director who has worked before in the production team of 'Anandabhadram' a Santhosh Sivan Film; is quite sure that no one will be able to guess which past occurrence is the last scene of the film based on.

Lots of new actors make their debut with 'Varnam'.

One of the main characters is played by Giri who hails from Chinnalpatti.

The homely looking Monica also plays a significant role in the new film.

The recent massive success of movies which shows the life as itself without any kind of glamour and style have given a big breathing space for movies like 'Varnam' to be born.
