Director Vasanth, who is resuming his second innings in Kollywood with the movie Satham Podathae starring Prithviraj says, ' I am all geared up. I am ready and raring to go'. Emerging from the shadows of director K Balachander, Vasanth left his indelible mark in movies like Keladi Kanmani and Aasai.

With a few of his movies including Rhythm and Hey Nee Romba Azhaga Irukke not putting up a good show at the box-office,Vasanth chose to take a break.

After a good break, he is now back in the fray. He is directing Prithviraj for a movie titled Satham Podathae.

Still on the prowl to find the leading lady, Vasanth said that he has not shelved the idea of doing a film with Suriya. 'Before that to happen by this year-end, this idea propped up.'

Dwelling more on Satham Podathae, Vasanth says, ' The norm is the changes affecting the rhythm of the daily chores in every household when love blossoms indifferent families. You will find my style laced with interesting happening situations in this film'.

On the inordinate delay in getting back to the big screen, 'there are varied factors. You have to get the good script, find the right artistes and above all find a producer to go through with the project. I believe artistes should fit in the story and not vice-versa. Prithviraj was an instant choice'.

On his experiences working under K Balachander, Vasanth says, 'It was the ultimate education in films. I owe all what I have achieved to him'.

A right protege.
