A case has been registered against actor Vemal and his three friends for allegedly attacking Kannada actor Abhishek. According to reports Vemal and his friends were staying at a private guest house in Virugambakkam where Abhishek was also staying. Some misunderstanding sparked between the two actors which ended in Vemal and his friends attacking his neighboring state counterpart.

Based on the CCTV footage of the guest house, a case has been filed by the Virugambakkam police under section 294B. Vemal also has filed a case and investigations are going on on that one too.

Vemal is currently starring in 'Kanni Raasi' in which he is paired opposite Varalakshmi Sarathkumar and 'Kalavani 2' directed by Sargunam and costarring Oviya.
