Actor Vemal had scored a sleeper hit with his 2010 rural comedy entertainer Kalavani, which marked the debut of the talented maker Sarkunam, and the movie also marked the Tamil debut of actress Oviya.

Now the director who had later made movies like Vaagai Sooda Vaa, Naiyandi, Chandi Veeran etc is back to direction and is all set to arrive with the sequel to Kalavani, titled as Kalavani 2, produced by Varmans productions and released by Screen Scene entertainments.

The trailer of Kalavani 2 will be releasing tomorrow, and the movie is planned as a May release. Kalavani 2 will bring back the hit pair of Vemal and Oviya, and will also star Ganja Karuppu, Saranya Ponvannan, Ilavarasu and will begin from where Kalavani had ended.
