Director Venkat Prabhu was one of the pioneers of New Wave cinema in Kollywood way back in 2007 when he made heads turn with his low budget cult classic Chennai 600028`. VP went on to helm projects with the bigwigs of Kollywood like Ajith, Suriya and Karthi.

Now comes word that Venkat Prabhu is ready to begin his next which will be the sequel to his Chennai 600028` and will reunite Jai,Shiva,Premji Amaran,Aravind Akash,Nithin Sathya,Vijay Vasanth,Ajay Raj, Prasanna,Ranjith,Arun,Karthik,Vijayalakshmi,Sampath Raj,Ilavarasu,Kristine Zedek and Inigo Prabakaran. Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music and Gautham Vasudev Menon is producing under his banner Ondraga Entertainment and shooting is set to begin in March this year.
