Venky Atluri to direct Varun Tej

Even as Varun Tej is busy with Krish's Rayabhari, he has been signed up by ace producer Dil Raju for a film. The film will be directed by Venky Atluri, who has acted in films like Gnapakam, Sneha Geetham.

Actually, Atluri was to direct Nani for Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations banner and it was to hit the floors in Septemmber last. However, it looks like the script has gone to Varun Tej.

Dil Raju has been planning a lot of projects with young directors, of late. This is in keeping with the trend of introducing fresh talent at a time when there is a paucity of ideas in the industry. His latest production to hit the screens soon is Krishnashtami, a Feb 19 release.
