Earlier we saw that a minor Chennai girl was raped by 22 men over a period of 7 months. The news has come as a shock to the country with 18 of the accused having been arrested by the police. 17 of them were taken to the Chennai Mahila court today for remand procedure and they were thrashed by a group of atleast 50 lawyers.

The Madras High Court Advocates Association president Mohanakrishnan has stated that no lawyer would come forward to argue the case for the accused.  Furthermore he also warned that if anybody came forward to fight the case for the culprits, they would be thrown out of the Bar Council.

So it is expected that the case will proceed with no lawyers for the 17 accused in the case. See the video down below:
