Vijay Antony who won hearts as one of the leading music composers during the early 2000s later switched to acting. Today he is one of the most bankable heroes in Tamil cinema who has a steady market for his films. Recently he made his debut as director in 'Pichaikkaran 2' which not only got critical praise but also is big box office success in Tamil as well as Telugu.

It is well known that Vijay Antony survived a freak boating accident while filming a song for 'Pichaikkaran 2' in Malaysia. He has recovered admirably from a broken jaw and nose and during the promotions of his film won more fans for his positive attitude and ability to make a comeback from such a hard setback.

Vijay Antony's wife Fatima shared a cute photo of them both in their car holding hands and captioned it "He’s an embodiment of love...am not worthy of it. and Yes yet I love him to bits thanks for everything love...God bless you."

Fatima and Vijay Antony met in 2006 and fell in love instantly and got married within a few days. The couple have two daughters one of whom nurses ambition of becoming an actress and the other a doctor.

Vijay Antony's upcoming films include 'Agni Siragugal', 'Kolai', 'Ratham', 'Valli Maiyil' and 'Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan'. He has already announced during 'Pichaikkaran 2' release that he will be soon begin shooting for a new movie with a surprise cast and crew.
