Illayathalapathy Vijay usually celebrates his birthday in Chennai where he will do many charity works apart from giving a feast to his fans. But this time after shooting non-stop for his upcoming fantasy adventure film Puli` the superstar needed a break and flew to London with his family for a much needed holiday.

Vijay reportedly cut a cake and had a simple celebration with close family in his in-laws house in London. Celebrities from all over India wished Vijay through social media and by phone. Vijay will be back to Chennai in a few days to begin work on Vijay 59` directed by Atlee with Samantha and Amy Jackson as heroines.
