Vijay's new movie 'Thalapathy 62' directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Sun Pictures began shooting on January 19th and has been going on in various locations including Chennai and Kolkatta.  The shoot was however abruptly stopped on March 23rd in Chennai due to the Kollywood strike.

Now that the Kollywood strike has come to an end it has been announced that film shootings can resume from April 20th after the producers submit their letters to TFPC and FEFSI.  'Thalapathy 62' shooting will restart from the 25th of April in Chennai according to reliable sources and the team will push the accelerator to wrap up in the coming months in time for the Diwali 2018 release as planned.

'Thalapathy 62' has Vijay and Keerthy Suresh as the lead pair while Radha Ravi, Livingston, Premkumar, Yogi Babu and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar in the cast.  A.R. Rahman is scoring the music.
