Actress Gayathrie Shankar, who had started her career with movies like Naduvula konjam pakkatha kaanom, later acted in movies like Oru Nalla Naal Paathu solren, Puriyatha Puthir, K13, Rummy and many more movies.

Currently acting in Vijay Sethupathi starrer Maamanithan directed by Seenu Ramasamy and Bagheera starring Prabhudeva and directed by Adhik Ravichandran, Gayathrie has shared a lovely message on self love on her Instagram handle.

Sharing an old photo of herself, Gayathrie has posted "#throwback?? to a time when I looked like this and didn't feel confident enough to post this picture!A lot of people look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them I'm insecure about my body. Insecurity has nothing to do with how you look. It's more a state of mind. Mental health is probably the most overlooked problems of our times. If you're reading this, if you look in the mirror and only see things that are wrong with you. You're not alone. It happens to the best of us. But it doesn't have to be that way.Every scar, mole, stretchmark is a milestone in the story of your journey, and every story is unique. It's what makes you, YOU. Make peace with it. Accept it. Love it. Trust me, a little self love everyday, goes a long way! ??".
