High Court permits the release of Vijay Sethupathi's much awaited film after 8 long years

Vijay Sethupathi has become one of the most celebrated star actors in Indian cinema in recent times. His ascent started from an extra actor to main lead with 'Thenmerku Paruva Kaatru' directed by Seenu Ramasamy that released in 2010. In 2013 the director and the actor reunited for a new film 'Idam Porul Yeaval' based on a story by noted novelist S. Ramakrishnan.

'Idam Porul Yeaval' was taken over by N. Lingusamy's Tirupathi Brothers and grew with several changes in the cast. The film starring Vijay Sethupathi, Vishnu Vishal, Aishwarya Rajesh, Nandita Shwetha and Vadivukarasi was completed that year and was planned to release on a festive date. But due to the financial woes of the production house the film's release became a question mark for the past eight years.

However Thirupathi Brothers in an offiical statement has shared that the Chennai High Court has permitted the release of 'Idam Porul Yeaval' and will soon hit the screens. The major highlight of the film that it was the first time Yuvan Shankar Raja and Vairamuthu collaborated.
