Vijay Sethupathi's 'Maamanithan' release faces delay once again - Latest Update

It has been three years since Vijay Sethupathi's 'Maamanithan', was completed and ready for release. It is the fourth collaboration of Makkal Selvan with the National award winning filmmaker Seenu Ramasamy. We recently broke to you that the movie is scheduled to release on May 6 after several delays.

Now, the latest news is that the film's release date is shuffled once again. Recently actor and distributor RJ Suresh had bagged the theatrical rights of 'Maamanithan' in Tamil Nadu and Kerela. On March 21, RK Suresh announced on his social media page that 'Maamanithan' will be released on May 6 and his own movie 'Visithran' will be released on May 20.

Today, RK Suresh took to his Twitter handle to share that 'Visithiran' will release on May 6 and 'Maamanithan' will hit the screens on May 20. VJS plays an auto driver and a happy family man while Gayathrie plays his wife in the movie. Famous musician Yuvan Shankar Raja's YSR Productions has produced the movie and he also has served as one of the composers.

'Maamanithan' stars Vijay Sethupathi, S. Gayathrie, Guru Somasundaram, Shaji Chen, Jewel Mary, Anikha, Saravana Shakti along with late actress KPAC Lalitha. Ilayaraja and his sons Karthik Raaja and Yuvan Shankar Raja have jointly scored the music for the film, and it has stirred up expectations among the fans.
