Actor Siva Karthikeyan's most anticipated film 'Velaikakran' has released today on a huge scale and the film is all set to get a grand opening. Siva Karthikeyan fans have started the day with extreme celebration since the film of their favourite star has released after more than one year.

Among the young generation heroes after Thalapathy Vijay and Thala Ajith, Siva Karthikeyan is easily on the top in terms of fan following and box office power, On the other hand Vijay Sethupathi is getting noticed for his exemplary acting in each and every film he does. As they climb up the success ladder at around the same time, it is impossible to not place them as rivals even if they themselves don't wish that.

But in a smart move to nip such rival fan wars on the bud, 'Velaikakran' coming at a relatively early stage of Siva Karthikeyan's stardom carries a Vijay Sethupathi reference that too on a very positive note. In a particular scene taking place in a house in the slum, a still of Vijay Sethupathi is shown as a hint for the Makkal Selvan's reach towards all sections of audiences.

Generally filmmakers prefer to use Vijay or Ajith images in such instances in order to cash in on the fan following of these two major stars. But in 'Velaikkaran' it is a smart move to indirectly discourage rival fan wars and it is appreciable too.

The same has happened in the case of Vijay and Ajith rivalry. There will be a blink you will miss shot of Vijay from 'Kavalan' in Ajith's 50th film 'Manaktha'. Likewise in 'Velayudham' which was the Vijay starrer to release immediately after 'Mankatha' had the 'Vilayadu Mankatha' song playing in the background when Velayudham (Vijay) is speaking with someone in a tea shop.

But for these two stars this phenomenon happened at such a late stage of their respective careers. Its worth mentioning that Vijay Sethupathi imitated Sivakarthikeyan's 'Maan Karate' dance step with his flex in the background for a song in 'Rekka'.
