Vijay Sethupathi is one hero who does not keep his fans waiting for his films as he signs and completes projects pretty quickly. He had recently signed on to play Muthaiah Muralidharan in his biopic titled '800' coproduced by Rana Daggubatti. There were reports in some sections of the media that Sri Lankan Tamils see the spin bowling ace as anti - Tamil Eelam and had requested VJS not to portray him.

Latest reports coming in suggest that Vijay Sethupathi has opted out of '800' due to respect for the Tamils of Sri Lanka. This is just hearsay and we do not have official confirmation as yet. The Makkal Selvan is ready to delight audiences with his upcoming flicks of various genres including 'Sanga Thamizhan', 'Kadaisi Vivasayi', 'Maamanithan', 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy' and 'Laabam'. He has also started shooting for 'Tughlak Darbar' directed by Delhibabu Deenadayalan costarring Manjhima Mohan and Aditi Rao Hydari.
