Actor Chiyaan Vikram is on a signing spree. While the National award winning actor is gearing up for the release of his 'Sketch' hitting the screens on January 12 for the Pongal Festival weekend, he is also on the verge of completing 'Dhruva Natchathiram' with Gautham Menon and 'Saamy Square' directed by Hari. Both this film are expected to hit the screens within the first half of 2018.

Now it has been confirmed that the much loved Chiyaan has signed a mega budget project that too in Hindi. Yes, it has been officially announced that Vikram will play the lead role in the epic fiction 'Mahavir Karna', a Hindi film to be directed by RS Vimal who directed the critically acclaimed Malayalam super hit 'Ennu Ninte Moideen'. 

'Mahavir Karna' will be bankrolled by United Film Kingdom New York on a whopping budget of Rs.300 crores. The makers have promised that the film will have the creme de la creme of Indian film technicians and artists and we can expect a casting coup of sorts in the film. 

The film which will ostensibly be based on the life of Karna, one of the important characters of the Indian epic Mahabharatha will go on floors in October this year and it has been scheduled to hit the screens in December 2019. 

Since Vikram is playing the lead role we can confidently expect that the film will also be released in Tamil.
