Vir Das is on of the top level stand up comedians of India. The reasons is his well thought out and clever jokes that require the audience to have certain level of intelligence to enjoy. His content seems very genuine and he doesn't shy away from calling out the senseless and wierd practices which are considered normal among A list celebrities.

Recently, he commented about celebs showing off their vacations pics. During the lockdown, Maldives became the ultimate holiday destination for Bollywood stars. Lots of celebs visited the white beached of Maldives every week and Instagram was flooded with their pictures. After a while it almost became a bandwagon upon which everyone was jumping.

Annoyed by this, Vir Das shared on Instagram, "When I see a photo of you in the Maldives with many empty bottles, a packet of minibar crisps, a plate that used to have pizza/cake on it, and a stomach that looks like all that stuff is in there...THEN l'll believe you're on vacation, otherwise you flew 10 hrs for a photoshoot."
