More than 50 Kollywood celebrities involved in Chennai Rain Relief activities

Indiaglitz had earlier reported that a group of actors, including the Nadigar Sangam General Secretary Vishal and Treasurer Karthi have been collecting and coordinating flood relief materials coming from various places and disbursing them to places affected by severe rain and floods in Chennai. They receive the relief materials in Lady Andal School at Chennai and the materials or sent to places of need after proper verification.

The list of Kollywood actors and actresses who have been involving themselves in this humanitarian task for almost one week includes Nadigar Sangam President Nasser, Jayam Ravi. Arya. Arun Vijay, Sreeman, Shanthanu, Udhaya, Mano Bala, Rohini. Varalakshmi Sarathkumar and many others.

Food items and other relief materials sent by a huge list of actors from Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada film industry are also received by the Tamil actors in Lady Andal School. Mollywood actors are mainly sending Lorries of water bottles. Kannada actors are sending Milk powders and medicines. Tollywood stars are sending costumes and groceries. A Tamil actor is sent to the place where these goods are distributed.

Many other Kollywood celebrities like Ilaiyaraja, Parthiepan, Dhanush, S.ve.Sekar, Imman Annachi, Mayilsamy, Maniratnam and Suhasini have been individually taking part in rain relief activities.

More than 50 actors and actresses are presently involving themselves in rain relief activities and almost all of them are doing this by postponing their shooting schedules. Many of them have developed rain related problems and special arrangements have been made for administering Tetanus injection for each of them.
