Vishal suggests he saved the film industry

Tamil star Vishal, who has taken some game-changing decisions in his capacity as an authority at Nadigar Sangam and the Producers' Council, has suggested that he saved the industry.

"Actors can`t fool the audience by just helping poor people on screen. If I had focussed on making money, the film industry wouldn`t have been there. The delay of two of my movies has led to financial losses for me. Despite that, I have seen only the industry as paramount,” Vishal has told a national daily.

In his fight for the welfare of film industry's workers and the well-being of all the stakeholders, Vishal has taken some tough decisions, much against the entrenched interests as represented by some elders.
