It is mid of August and there is no Vishal film released this year. The actor producer known for planning well in advance and sticking to the release plan of his films has been shooting for quite a films but all of them have been delayed understandably because most of his time is diverted to his work as the President of the Tamil Film Producers Council and he is also the General Secretary of the Nadigar Sangam.

Now Vishal himself has revealed that he had planned to release a film each for Pongal and Tamil New Year this year but both could not happen since he was busy working towards a lasting solution for the problems faced by Tamil film producers and he cannot take part in shooting as planned.

Vishal said as a producer and an actor it is a personal loss to him but he is ready to accept that as he feels one should be ready to lose a thing to get another. He also added that his top priority now is to change the industry which is lagging seven years behind. As of now he is equipped to fend his basic needs and that is enough for him.

Vishal is currently shooting for director Mysskin's 'Thupparivaalan' and debutant director P.S.Mithran's 'Irumbu Thirai'. He will also start shooting for his long expected sequel 'Sandakozhi 2' from the end of this month.

'Thupparivaalan' and 'Irumbuthirai' will release in the coming months of this year while 'Sandakozhi 2' has been scheduled to hit the screens for Pongal 2018.
