Waiting
A Drishyam Films and Ishka Films production, produced by Priti Gupta and Manish Mundra, 'Waiting' is directed by Anu Menon and stars Naseeruddin Shah, Kalki Koechlin and Rajat Kapoor in pivotal roles.
While the unconventional casting is proving to be a huge draw for film-buffs across, director Anu Menon's deft handling of the deeply emotional film, soaking it in optimistic wit and humour, has also been earning much-acclaim at all the prestigious international film festivals where it was screened to packed houses. For, the film was premiered at the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF).
At the heart of it, 'Waiting' is a film about a special relationship between two people who befriend each other unexpectedly in a hospital while nursing their individual spouses in coma. It is a film about grief, yes, but it is also about confronting it with optimism and learning to live with courage, love with faith and laugh with hope.
'Waiting' is set to release on May 27th.
