Renowned actor Vijayakanth recently underwent treatment for pulmonary issues in a Chennai private hospital, leading to a 14-day hospitalization, as confirmed by the hospital management's social media bulletin. Despite clear statements about his pulmonary treatment, unfounded speculations regarding the 71-year-old actor's health emerged, triggering concerns among fans.

The silence was broken by Vijayakanth's family, specifically his wife Premalatha, who addressed the situation in a video posted on the actor's social media page. She criticized YouTube channels and online portals for disseminating false reports about Vijayakanth's health. Premalatha assured that Vijayakanth's health is stable, dispelling claims of him being on ventilator support. She further stated that he would soon return home, urging everyone to refrain from spreading rumors.
