Woah! The Much-Awaited ‘Badla’ Gets A Release Date!

Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu who were last seen sharing the screen together in the well acclaimed National Award-winning film ‘Pink’ has reunited again for another film. And this time it is for Sujoy Ghosh titled ‘Badla’.

Taapsee shared the release date of the film and tweeted, “This will KICKSTART my 2019 ! #Badla” And the date, March 8 2019, falls on the International Women’s Day . Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment is producing the movie, along with Azure Entertainment. The actors recently wrapped up their shoot in Scotland.

‘Badla’ is said to be an official remake of the Spanish thriller, ‘Contratiempo’ aka ‘The Invisible Guest’. Talking of her character in the movie earlier, Taapsee said, "It will be unfair to both Sujoy and me if the film didn’t have such a character. I’ve been shooting films back-to-back over the last couple of months but most of them have been desi girls. Now suddenly, I’m in Scotland playing a sharp, powerful businesswoman based here, it’s a drastic jump. This woman is also not your conventional Sujoy heroine, as you will realise. It’s a character I’ve been waiting for."
