Sahitya Academy Winning Tamil Writer Joe D'Cruz has worked as one of the writers in Vijay Antony's 'Saithan' scheduled to hit the screens tomorrow. In an interview to IndiaGlitz, Vijay Antony who has also produced and scored music for the film apart from acting in the lead role has revealed writer also acted in the film.

"Joe D'Cruz sir is a great writer and he has also worked in films. He came forward to help Pradeep Krishnamurthy (the director of 'Saithan') since he is a newcomer. He also agreed to act in a particular character.

The story spans across two births of the hero. Initially we made him act as the character of the hero in his previous birth.

But after watching the rushes the writer for Telugu dubbed version felt that I should act in that character also since it is two births of the same person. Since all of us felt the same, we re-shot the sequences with me acting in the character after informing him."

Vijay Antony also confirmed that the film is a "Psychological Pei Thriller" conveying that the film will have horror elements.

'Saithan' is getting released after the blockbuster success of 'Pichakkaran' and the novel idea of releasing the first ten minutes of the film instead of trailer has garnered huge buzz for the film which will be hitting the screens in as many as 1350 screens across the globe within a few hours from now.
