Dr Leelavathi Combines the prestigious banner in Kannada filmdom has given a new thought and new style of making of a revenge saga subject is admirable. The intimacy of mother and son mixed in this film, actor Vinod Raj a film giving up his image for his own banner is the high point of this film `Yaaradhu' besides the neat and tidy screenplay, fabulous camera work plus Vinod Raj and Dr Leelavathi given fine performance in this suspense packed thriller.

Set mostly in the thick forest background `Yaaradhu' is not the regular kind of cinema. Brought up in life with utmost care Mary (Dr Leelavathi) wants her son John (Nihal) to win over everyone. A humble and devoted son is teased and tabooed in the college by a gang of five. The intensity of ragging brings shame to John that is noticed by the college principal. John writes the complaint against five and for a short vacation leaves to meet his mother. On receiving the complaint the principal suspend the five baddies - Viji, Ganesh Satish, Raju and Ananda.

Back to Beemanakuppe the place of John there is commotion as the news spread a bus accident has snatched the life of John. Around the same time the gang of five comes to live in Beemanakuppe guest house of Mary but suddenly four of the five go missing in Beemanakuppe forest area. Who is that responsible for the missing four? Inspector Prathap (Vinod Raj) takes the case and his investigations reveal many shocking happenings. Even Viji the only survivor of the five is also killed. Who is that (Yaaradhu) is an interesting fact that audiences have to see in the theatre.

Srinivas Kaushik has done tremendous home work for this film is what gathers him good applause. The screenplay especially in the second half is interesting.

Vinod Raj as cop has given a cool and composed performance. When it comes to dance he is fantastic. Dr Leelavathi as Mary wins the heart and for society there is a message from her that `Religion should not be imposed on anyone by force'. Ashwini is a treat to watch in a song. Nihal is tolerable. The role played by Viji is convincing.

In the song Jaga Jaga Jagavella Jagala..the dancing ability of Vinodraj is showcased. The camera work by Nagesh Acharya is the splendid part of the film. The effects for the film `Yaaradhu' are scaring and notable.
