’Gaddama' in the middle-east

Do you know what the curiously pronounced word 'Gaddama' is? For those who have worked in the middle east will readily identify it as the Arabic term for domestic workers who come from other countries to do mean jobs in the Arab houses.

With lot of Kerala women working at the Arab countries as Gaddama's, Kamal and scriptwriter K Giresshkumar readily identified the possibilities of the movie, which could tell the life end struggles of expatriates. Yes, they are on to a movie in the same title 'Gaddama', for which Kavya Madhavan will come up as a domestic worker serving in the Gulf.

The movie based on the story by K U Iqbal, will be scripted by Kamal and K Gireeshkumar. 'Gaddama' produced by P V Pradeep in the banner of Anitha productions will start canning from October 20 at Dubai Sreenivasan, Biju Menon, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Bijukuttan are other lead stars of this movie which will also feature a number of Egyptian television stars and two Indonesian heroines.

Kamal will also present two youngsters Bennet and Withraag, as the musicians for the film. The duo had earlier created songs for ‘Dr. Patient’ and ‘Out of Syllabus’ which featured quality songs that were seldom noticed due to poor run of the films at the Box Office.
