Sada riding high in her career

One of the beautiful actresses of South India Sada (Sada original name) hailing from Rathnagiri in Maharashtra has been on a winning spree ever since ''''Jeyam''''. She has that victory (Jeyam means) behind her from then on. She is in good demand in Tamil too after the mega hit of Shankar''''s ''''Aniyan'''' opposite Vikram.

The beautiful lass with wonderful manners and good in ideologies spoke to this correspondent on her second Kannada film ''''Mohini.94488 58888'''' (her second Kannada film is also starting from letter ''''M'''') for prestigious director of Kannada cinema S.V.Rajendra Singh Babu.

Excerpts of an interview with Sada at Dr.Ambedkar Bhavan in Bangalore:

You are reeling with series of success in your career

No. Being a part of all super hit films gives you happiness but does not make me reel and lose myself. 'Jayem' in Telugu ran successfully in Bangalore also. According to what information I have it ran for 695 days in Bangalore. 'Anniyan' is another mega hit film. I feel happy because at the very early age I have been able to get success.

How did the Telugu and Tamil version of your maiden Kannada film 'Monalisa' fared?

It is not all that good in Tamil and Telugu. It is because the heroine oriented films have very meager chances. The audiences want their heroes to do all the jobs. A saleable hero was required in Telugu and Tamil. 'Monalisa' been a good entry for me in Kannada. Kannada audiences have the open mind. That is the reason why 'Monalisa' was super hit in Kannada.

When you accept any film what is that you attach top priority?

For me the good banner, director, hero is important. The first film 'June July' I acted I don't know what happened to it. Then I thought I should not be lost in all Tom Dick and Harry films. Director Teja spotted me and convinced me for the role in 'Jeyam'. The experience with his camp has taught me good lessons.

As for as your roles are concerned what do you prefer?

The role should take me to a higher level from my present situation in the profession.

There is a complaint that Karnataka market is small and heroine like you do not opt for this language?

The market of Kannada films may be small the remuneration also might be small but good quality films in quick time are made only here. What I said earlier the banner and director should be good for me. I look for chemistry. Lot of producers of approached me after 'Monalisa' but some of them were remakes what I have done. There is no point in doing the same kind of role once again. I have decided to act at least in one Kannada film a year.

What is that interest you in 'Mohini 94488 58888' of S.V.Rajendra Singh Babu?

The attitude of the role is good and the response what I guage will be very good. First time in my career I am doing a professional role of a crime journalist.

What are the films on hand for you?

I have a Telugu and Tamil film and two offers are there in Hindi. Iam doing a comedy role in Tamil superstar Ajith film. In Telugu I have signed a film opposite Balakrishna. I am lucky heroine. More than my expectations the things have turned to my side.

Do you plan your life?

I don't plan my life. We should take it as and when comes.

How do you spend the free time at home?

Whenever I am at home the Animal Planet channel is a must. I keep watching this channel a lot.

Where do you stay?

In Mumbai. I have a house in Hyderabad.

What is that you hate?

Piracy. I was startled to know piracy is a big bane to films. A Tamil film of mine not released is already there in the market. That is how piracy is ruining the market. I keep telling my own kiths and kins that pirated ones should not be watched.
