Debutant Arun has ideas and good thoughts. He never shows on screen that he is first time director. At some places he lashes at our cultural growth that is behind money throwing morality to the wind. Of course the brevity is lacking in this director but not the substance. What is great about this County Film Makers is that it has shown trust in young team of 23 debutants who have worked for the film 'Loosegalu'.
Minus the protracted narration there is no shortfall in this meaningful, thought provoking cinema of Arun.
The hunger for money, hunger for concern, care needed in this society, gambling worst worries, innocent love, mother love, breach of trust and a few others are part of this cinema of two hours and twenty five minutes.
Loosegalu opens up with need for money and ends with pros and cons of money. Director Arun has rightly understood that money comes and goes but it morality that comes and grows! Money is discarded and it is main setback says one of the three protagonists.
Bujju alias Sriki working in a garage is disenchanted youth. Everyone is happy and I am not happy is his mindset. He goes for bank loot and fires in two rounds to run away. Bujju fiancé Hasina is waiting for his return. Hit badly Bujju accidentally barges in to the car of Akul a humble mother caring person also has a lover Milky (Aishwarya Nag). Milky is very caring and mad about Akul. Now Akul is in a fix because of stranger in his car who forces him to move fast as police might chase him. There is a bookie Srimurali who serves term in the prison. He is careless guy and his fiancé Rekha is receptionist in the hotel. It is at this hotel all assemble and the looted money goes changing hands. How the money bag changes minds, fortunes of all are narrated. At the climax Akul realizes the truth and commit suicide, Bujju dies of severe blow once again and Srimurali who has gunned down his fiancé Rekha discards money and goes away.
It is a good role for all the main characters, 3 pairs in the film. Akul has very well balanced his role, Srimurali is casual and punching, Sriki hunger is well exhibited, Aishwarya Nag is very naughty and bubbly, Shravya has good beginning as dumb in the film, Rekha has nothing much to do.
Lovely is music of Vani Harikrishna. She has given three tunes that are having long standing qualities. Chidanand camera work is splendid and editing is another high point of this film. Never the link is missing.
To know wavering minds for money and how it plays spoilsport you have to watch this film Loosegalu.
