After the announcement of the release date of Kochadiiyaan talks have started emerging about Superstar's next film. With his upcoming film slated to release on April 11, the star is expected to be in talks about his next film and everyone is waiting with bated breath for an official announcement.
Some reports point to director Shankar and they say the Superstar is ready to join with him for the third time after giving blockbusters in Endhiran and Sivaji. There were also reports suggesting that Shankar is planning to make a sequel to Endhiran.
Others point to director K.S.Ravikumar who was supposed to work with Rajnikanth in the film Rana which took off with a formal Pooja but had to be suspended owing to the star's severe illness in 2011. They say that the actor director duo is planning to revive Rana.
it is also said that Superstar is eager to start his next film immediately after the release of Kochadiiyaan. By then, Shankar will be busy with the post production or release works of his mega budget Vikram starrer film Ai while Ravikumar would have just started his project with actor Sudheep of Naan Ee fame which the director has announced as his next film. So both the directors won't be available to start Rajni's film during the months of April or May.
In such an uncertain scenario some reliable sources say that Superstar's next film will be with K.S.Ravikumar but they have not confirmed when the film will start. If this pans out Ravikumar will be directing his third film with Superstar Rajnikanth after delivering two blockbuster films in Muthu that released in 1995 and Padiyappa that released in 1999.
