‘Ulaganayagan’Kamal Haasan was seen limping while he walked on to the stage in an award function held in Chennai recently. It is also said that the veteran actor patiently waited backstage for almost an hour and asked fhe organizers for a pain releasing cream as he waited.

Sources reveal that the actor got injured while shooting for his upcoming film ‘Uttama Villain’. He went to the doctor directly from the shooting spot and headed straight away to the award function as he had promised to attend the event.   Sources also add that Kamal will resume shoot very soon, despite the doctor had advised him to take rest.

Ramesh Aravind the director of the film has clarified that Kamal did not get injured while shooting for an action scene or a stunt for the film. The star just had a muscle pull and has been advised for a day’s rest.

The shooting of ‘Uttama Villain’ produced by Thirrupathi brothers and Rajkamal Films International is fast nearing completion. The film is expected to hit the screens in September and would be the first release of Kamal Haasan for the year 2014.
