Raj TV's maiden production venture 'Kadhalna Summa Illa' has had a decent opening all across the State. This has given immense joy to the producers. A remake of the Telugu hit 'Ghamyam' the film has won rave reviews.
 
The prominent satellite television channel is planning to produce at least 10 films a year and seems to be going the Sun Pictures way. The latest buzz doing the rounds is that they have acquired big movies including 'Mariyadhai' starring Vijayakanth and 'Kudhirai', which has been produced by Kameela Nasser.
 
'Mariyadhai' is one of the highly anticipated films of the year. Apart from scores of Vijayakanth fans who look forward to the film, it also brings together the successful combination of director Vikraman and Vijayakanth after the blockbuster 'Vanathai Polae' which was released many years ago. 'Mariyadhai' features Vijayakanth in dual roles and the film is produced by T. Siva of Amma Creations.
 
'Kudhirai' marks the debut venture of director Ramana as hero. Prakashraj plays a prominent role in the film and filming began recently.
