Almost after eight long years, Revathi is making a comeback on small screen but as one of the creative heads. The yesteryear heroine along with her buddy cum actress Rohini, would be working for the new tele-serial titled as 'Yadhumaagi Nindrai' produced by Media One Global Entertainment. Rohini is the other Creative Head of this programme which is to be aired in Zee Tamil channel while, she has also penned the lyrics for the title song.

The actress is an active social worker and a humanitarian who jumps into action against any social injustice. And during her filmy career, the actress was praised for her forward talks and approach. At a recent press meet, she was asked if she’d make the producer of her serial ‘Yadhumagi Nindrai’ act. (We have to say that she is a tough nut to crack) “With proper training, yes. Acting is a real tough job and everyone and anyone can’t do it. That possibly explains why the performance levels in films are low these days,” said the actress assertively.

“This story came to me through a friend and Rohini and I developed on it and today with the help of Media One, director Saravanan and the team, it’s a full blown story. We have shot forty episodes already. The title will bring back memories of Bharathiyar and the strength of women that he has referred to,” adds Revathi.

Revathi and her fried Rohini, have come together for many social causes and have stood strong for any help for women. Now they have conceptualized a serial for today’s women by focusing on their home, career and social concerns alltogether.

‘Yadhumagi Nindrai’ revolves around three women. One of them is involved in social service, one is a lawyer and the third is a cop. All the three women are middle-aged, with children, but sorry, no tear-jerkers for you,” said Rohini jokingly. “It’s a realistic story that the viewers can connect with,” said Revathi.

Swarnamalya, Srilekha and Neerja are doing the lead roles of this one.
