It was Nithya Menon who was initially roped in to play the female lead in 'Oh My Friend', a Telugu film which has Siddarth as the protagonist. But she was replaced in the last minute by Shruthi Haasan.

"Many ask me the reason behind. It's an open secret ad everyone know this. Because, Siddarth wanted Shruthi to be part of the film," says the actress, whose debut venture in Telugu, 'Ala Modalaindi', was a super hit.

In Kollywood, Nithya Menon is waiting for the release of '180', which has the same Siddarth in the lead. Directed by popular ad filmmaker Jayendra, Priya Anand is the other heroine of the movie.

"In 180, I play a modern girl who sees life in her own way. It is a youthful story and Jayendra is a great colleague to work with. I enjoyed being part of the film and am looking forward for its release," she says.
