Prashanth to shed weight

Prashanth, who gained 11 kilos for his role in 'Mambattiyan', is on a weight reduction spree now. The actor is hitting the gym hard to get back to his old look. He will soon take off his beard and cut his long hair too, and will sport with a clean shaven look.

"I grew my hair for Ponnar Shankar (in which he played a prince) and continued with it since my role in Mambattiyan demanded it. Now that I am going to act in films with contemporary subjects, I am going to shed extra weight and get a new hair style," he says.

Reiterating that he has signed three movies with top directors, Prashanth however maintains the suspense. "I will not reveal anything now. You will get to know the details once Pongal is over. Wait and watch" is his answer.

Prashanth gives a clue however. "One of my films will be a dance musical, on the lines of Jeans and Jodi. I am thrilled about my role in the movie, since it is modern and trendy. I will soon be learning an international dance form."
