A variety buffet awaits lovers of Tamil cinema this week. Apart from two new movies 'Kazhugu' and 'Vinmeengal', 'Nadigar Thilakam' Sivaji Ganesan's legendary 'Karnan' is seeing a re-release today.

'Kazhugu' has already generated a lot of hype. Directed by newcomer Sathya Siva, the movie produced by Talking Times has Krishna of 'Alibaba' and 'Katradhu Kalavu' fame is hero. Bindhu Madhavi is the leading lady. The film is about a set of people who rescue bodies from the suicide point at Kodaikanal.

'Vinmeengal' is perhaps Kollywood's answer to 'Taare Zameen Par'. The film which has Vishwa, Shika, Rahul and Anuja Iyer in lead roles is directed by Vignesh Menon and produced by Maanas Film Corporation. It is about a loving couple who give birth to a special child.

'Karnan' doesn't need any explanation, as it is one of the important films in the history of Tamil cinema. The B R Panthulu directed movie, based on Mahabharatham, is being re-released in digital format by Shanthi Chokkalingam of Divya Films.
