Gautham Vasudev Menon is known for his experiments. The director, who floated a production house and audio label in the past besides trying his hands at various genres, is now stepping into television arena.
In the company of his good friend and Oscar-Grammy winner A R Rahman, Gautham has forged a partnership with tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi's GloboSport to produce 'Sitaara', a reality TV show for South India's next top actress.
In a statement released by London Stock Exchange's AIM exchange, where Gautham Menon's production house Photon Kathas is listed, it has been said that 'Sitaara' will be produced in all four South Indian languages (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam).
The company's CEO Venkat Somasundaram said in the statement: "It is a clear example of our stated objective of producing and exploiting adverse portfolio of South Indian content across multiple formats and languages."
