Congress MP Lagadapati Rajgopal yesterday stated that Ram Gopal Varma was warned by YS Jaganmohan Reddy to delete a scene or two which might have meant a reference to Jagan, from Raktha Charitra.

The director has not reacted to the open statement made by his college senior. That the film was in the throes of a controversy during its making and after its release is well-known. The two parts drew their content from real-life incidents in the life of Paritala Ravindra, the deceased TDP leader.

The statements made by the MP have mostly gone unnoticed largely because of the media's pre-occupation with the Jagan affair and the by-elections.
