"Midnight Children" is a creation of Deepa Mehta based on Salman Rushdie's book. The lead female in this film is Shreya Saran.

In this film, Shreya is a Rajasthani dancer blessed with special powers. For this role, Shreya lives in a hut. Sources also say that Shreya actually stayed in a hut for a few nights to get the feel and perform better as a habitant. She says that doing that has taught her things of life and living that she never knew. She is also happy with her performance in "Midnight Children" and is looking forward to the critics opinions.
