Mani Ratnam Turned Down by Popular Duo

IndiaGlitz [Friday, September 27, 2013]

Though Kollywood is mushroomed with popular and talented artistes, it is relatively a rarity that the stars are related by blood. Famed director Mani Ratnam had earlier approached the popular brothers of Kollywood for a project. He had even promised outright that he would ensure that the movie is such a hit that the team will have enough profit to stand generations.

We are talking about Suriya-Karthi duo, who simply turned the director down, despite his open promises, on the grounds that story, time, dates and roles have to be convincing and convenient enough for them to essay the project. The whole of India is still crazy about Mani Ratnam, despite the disappointment in his recent projects. Will the director's promise come to life? We will have to wait for the verdict of the brothers.
