Imminent personalities from many fields, came together to pay tribute to the versatile writer Sujatha. The writer, who passed away last week, was remembered by many writers and film personalities in a meeting organised by Uyirmai, a magazine for literature and arts.

Poet Manushyaputran, who is also the editor of the magazine, coordinated the event that took place on March 2, in Naradha Gana Sabha, Chennai. Leading writers and poets including Jayakanthan, Sivasankari, S. Ramakrishnan, Charu Nivedita, Kanimozhi, Madhan, Gnanasambandhan, and Ira Murugan attended the meeting.

Balu Mahendra, Crazy Mohan, Kamal Haasan, Vairamuthu, Sivakumar, Parthibhan, Sathyaraj, Thangar Bachchan, and many others from cine field came to the meeting to pay their tributes to the writer.

The unique contributions by Sujatha to literature, science writing in Tamil, and film world were recalled by the speakers.
