'Mariyadhai' brings together the success trio of the previous hit 'Vanathai Pola', Vikraman – Vijayakanth. The movie launch of 'Mariyadhai' took place today on 9th October at Mutha Venkatasuburao Concert Hall, Chennai.
 
Actor Vijayakanth once again restates a dual role with this film starring Ambika and Meera Jasmin playing the heroines. Actress Meena plays a prominent role in this newly launched movie. Music director Vijay Antony composes music and cinematography is done by Andrew.  
 
The event was held studded with socialites from the filmdom which was hosted by DR Rama Narayanan and PS Samynathan of Pyramid Saimira Ltd. Produced by T. Siva on Amma Creations banner, the film's plotline resembles the trademark elements of Vikraman's work.
