‘Achchamundu Achchamundu’ starring Prasanna and Sneha, is a supposedly a thriller churned out completely in USA. Directed by Arun Vaidyanathan, the film has musical score by Karthik Raja. Though the young music composer proved that he had immense talent, ladyluck was smiling on him. However with his musical score in ‘Achchamundu Achchamundu’, no doubt he would be going places. He has carefully come up with songs that are predominantly melodious and soft on our ears. Heavily inspired by Classical music, the songs are a treat to listen to.
1. Kannil - Listen here
Singer: Sowmya
A mesmerising song in the album. A semi classical in the voice of Sowmya takes us to mystic heights. Karthik Raja reminds one of his dad Illayaraja in his heydays. Though is inspired by Classical raaga, it is yet simple and even a layman can understand the tune. It's been a long time one had heard such a soft melody. The song which has less musical instrumentation, sits well on our ears. Though a pathos, it has right emotions thanks to Sowmya's beautiful rendition.
2. Kanavugal Kaatril - Listen here
Singer: Anupama, Krish and Rahul Nambiar
The racy and peppy number in the album. With wonderful orchestration and catchy rhythms, the song is sure to make one sit up and listen to. Watchout for Krish's rendition. He kind of lived the emotions in the song. Hats off Karthikraja for blending the style of his dad and his brother (Yuvan Shankar Raja)
3. Theme Music - Listen here
A heavily-orchestrated one it kind of sums up the whole emotion in the film. Karthikraja has poted for percussion that captures the imagination of the listeners.
4. Parvai Vali Sumandhal - Listen here
Singer: Rahul Nambiar
A perfect Classical blend. One of the mind blowing compositions by Karthik Raja, the song is appealing the moment it begins. Rahul Nambiar, who promised a lot in his earlier songs, has gone a step ahead in his career with the number. It is simply soft and smooth. Karthik Raja has given more thrust to the lyrics and downplayed the instrumentation that works out magic.
‘Achchamundu Achchamundu’ is no doubt a perfect comeback vehicle for Karthik Raja. He is sure to go several miles with the album.
