 With Thalaimagan, Sarath Kumar is due to hit a ton. The movie produced by his wife Radhika Sarath Kumar features Nayantra opposite him.
An action thriller, the movie features Sarath Kumar in the role of a journalist.
Sarath's strides since the time he made his entry as a small time villain on screen is well known. He was into distribution and production in films too. Then came the likes of Suriyan, Nattamai and Suryavamsam which took him to great heights.
Now he is on to a well-deserved century.
'In Thalaimagan, my technicians and co-artistes (Nayantra at the helm) are out there to make the occasion a memorable one. On my part, I am keen to dish out a special palate for my fans. That the film is shaping well under debutant director Balaji is the heartening factor, says Sarath.
 The highlight of the movie is the actor-director Cheran penning the screenplay.
Seema Biswas, who played the role of Phoolan Devi in Shekar Kapoor's Hindi film Bandit Queen, plays a police officer role in Thalaimagan.
Others in the cast include Prakash Raj and Vadivelu. A debutant J Paul is scoring the music.
The movie is a gritty mix of action, fun and emotion, says the actor. With Nayantra around, there will also be good glamour. Nayantra, who incidentally made her debut in Tamil with Sarath in Ayyah, shares a good rapport with him.
Vadivelu’s earthy comedy will also be a highlight of the movie.
A century is a landmark in any profession. The ones who achieve it know the pangs of pain and the amount of joy upon nearing that destination. Sarath Kumar is all set to experience that feeling.
