 After a long gap comes director Susi Ganesan. His Thiruttu Payalae features Kaakha Kaakha fame Jeevan in the lead role with Sonia Agrawal and Malavika playing the female leads.
It would be a romantic entertainer with Jeevan playing a different character. Impressed with the script, Sonia Agarwal in spite of her busy schedule decided to be part of the movie, says Susi Ganesan.
He is very keen to ensure that Thiruttu Payalae doesn't have any shades of his earlier films Five Star and Virumbukiren.
The big interval after Virumbukiren made me more responsible and give my best, he says and adds, Malavika plays a cameo ,which will stick to the hearts of the film-buffs.
On settling for Jeevan as hero, Susi says 'he fitted into the groove. It's a playboy character with lots of negative shades. I never believed in going by the image of an artiste. Jeevan has very much looked the part. Sonia and Malavika are impressive'
Susi said there has been no constraint on the budget 'with a couple of songs shot in Australia. You will find alot of freshness in the characters which is what I had tried to capture.'
The film’s songs are already doing well. Set to tunes by Bharathwaj, it has been peppy. The audio was innovatively launched through a television channel.
Hope there is the same amount of innovation in the film itself.
