It is now official that the shooting of Superstar Rajinikanth's 161st film directed by Pa.Ranjith and produced by Dhanush under his Wunderbar Films banner will commence from the 28th of May, 2017.

As reported earlier, Santhosh Narayanan has confirmed that he will be scoring music for the film and this is his second for the Superstar after last year's blockbuster 'Kabali'.

Now we learn that Dhanush, the son-in-law of the Superstar will be playing a cameo role in this film. If this is true, this will be his first onscreen appearance with his father-in-law.

The shooting will commence in a slum like set erected in Chennai, resembling Dharavi of Mumbai.
