Lenin Rajendran, who is known for his sensitive portrayals on screen, will be churning out yet another women-centric movie Nilavu in which Meera Jasmine plays a pivotal role.
Asked what his Nilavu is all about, the director says, it's the story of a couple who comes to know each other through a website. They fall in love. But when they meet, all the hopes of the woman gets shattered and the rest forms the crux of the movie'. On his films, he says, 'the tragedies in life touch me more. I believe in social commitment. Films like Meenamasathile Sooryan,and Puravritham are in this genre. I'm interested in tracing the pain of individuals, relationships in society, as you will see in Nilavu', he adds.
