Milan Jaleel, the producer of hit movies like 'Happy Husbands' and 'Thuruppughulan', has been elected the president of Kerala Film Producers’ Association.

Jaleel and his panel including the General Secretary Sasi Ayyanchira has won almost all the seats except three in a closely contested election defeating much of the members of panel lead by Siyad Koker and Evershine Mani. The other winners in the election include Alwin Antony, Kalliyoor Sasi (Vice Pr), B Rakesh, Johny Sagarika (Jt Secretary), M Renjith (Treasure) and V P Madhavan Nair.

The election was held at Hotel Travancore Court in Kochi. It was after a long time that the leading members of the association were selected through a closed contested elections.
